The death of Mrs. Fannie Finlay Laughlin was very unexpected, and has thrown a shade of sadness over her many friends in St. Ansgar.
We are glad to learn that in the trying hour she was sustained by the consolations of the Christian religion. It is a lesson to us all to be also ready.

We noticed Wm. Finley, of Dakota, formerly of St. Ansgar, on our streets yesterday. William says he is doing well out there, and feels contented. He returns this week.-- --
