Funeral services were held April 7, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin for Laura Ellingson, 83, a former Osage resident who died April 4, 1984 at St. Mark's Lutheran Home in Austin.

Laura Ellingson was born August 21, 1900, the daughter of Augustus and Adolpha Coleman Ellingson. She grew up in the Rudd area and attended college in Cedar Falls. She was united in marriage to Martin Ellingson September 24, 1927, in Nashua.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, one grandchild and one stepchild.

Surviving are a daughter, Delores of Louisiana; four sons, Marlow of Hampton, Sheryl of Osage, Gary of Austin and Larry. Also surviving are two step children, Merle Ellingson of Northwood and Kathryn and 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
