Halvor Thompson residing three miles west of Carpenter, died on last Wednesday of dropsy. Mr. Thompson was a brother of Mrs. Colbern Hanson. The funeral occurred on Saturday. Mr. Thompson had been in poor health for a number of years, being badly crippled from rheumatism. He was the father of Miss Lena Thompson, who formerly worked in St. Ansgar.
