Had a Famous Ancestor.
News:—Moses Morris, whose death occurred at his home in Osage Tuesday, February 26, 1895, was a great-grandson of Robert Morris of revolutionary fame, who holds a prominent place in the history of our country because of his philanthropic deeds, prominent among which was the giving of $1,000,000 to assist the navy, and who was a close friend of Washington, and one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Sept. 9, 1818 – Feb. 26, 1895 and is buried in the Osage Cemetery.
