Rockwell – Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Rockwell, for Boyd Myers, 70, of Rockwell, formerly of Osage, who died Sunday (Feb. 18, 1990) at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home of natural causes.

The Rev. Robert Dodge will officiate and burial will be in the Rockwell Cemetery.

Visitation is after 3 p.m. today at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, and Wednesday from noon until time of services at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Myers was born July 14, 1919, in Boone County, on a farm near Ogden, to Amos and Hattie Gertrude (McLaughlin) Myers. He moved with his family to Humboldt County at the age 8 and attended rural schools near Goldfield and also Goldfield High School.

On March 29, 1941, he married Virginia Jergensen at Princeton, Mo.

They farmed in Humboldt, Cerro Gordo and Mitchell counties.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia, Rockwell; five daughters, Mrs. Mike (Sherri) Eddy, Clear Lake; Mrs. Laveme (Sue) Reimers, Osage; Mrs. Dave (Dot) Falasco, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Kelly (Deb) Laudner, Rockwell, and Mrs. Ted (Wendy) Bonner, Swaledale; three sons, Don, Osage; Jerry, Garner, and Jim, Velva, N.D.; 20 grandchildren; and four sisters, Zylpha Clark and Dorothy Hasstedt, both of Ogden; Mrs. David (Vivian) Hansen, Green Mountain Falls, Colo., and Mrs. Frank (Betty) Hudner, Vienna, Va.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
