Janet (Woolworth) Weaverling, 81, of Osage, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society in St. Ansgar.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020, at the Osage Cemetery in Osage, with Pastor Paul Brown officiating. Due to COVID-19, social distancing will be practiced.

Janet was born September 25, 1938, in Osage, Iowa, the daughter of Sam and Lois (Starr) Woolworth. She graduated from Osage High School and attended Austin Vocational College in Austin, Minnesota. Janet married Marold Weaverling on April 23, 1983, at the First Baptist Church in Osage. She worked as an LPN, was employed by the Osage Cleaners for ten years and was a homemaker.

Janet was a very active member of the First Baptist Church, the Mitchell County Hospital Auxiliary, and was a Foster Grandparent. She enjoyed crafts, cake baking, spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.

Janet is survived by her children, Teresa Jensen of North Liberty, Yvonne (Troy) Tourtellott of Nora Springs, Jerry Jensen of Riceville; six grandchildren, Ian (Candice) Alke, Erin (Josh) Pals, Nicole Tourtellott, Haley Tourtellott, Jacob Jensen, Kalyn Jensen; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Jean Trout of Aurora, Colorado, Nancy (Bob) Boutelle of Blue Grass, and Ann (Alan) Lund of Milford, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marold Weaverling in 2004; grandson, Tyler Tourtellott and brother-in-law, Marshal Trout.
