A large number from here attended the funeral of Mrs. McKy at Riceville last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. McKy were of the early settlers of this township, but about eight years ago they retired from farming and moved to Riceville. Mrs. McKy left many friends here; she was a good woman, a good neighbor and a good Christian in every way, and was loved by all who knew her. The sad news of her departure was received here with much grief throughout the whole community.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Mary who was born May 24, 1851 and died December 2, 1910. She is buried in Riverside Cemetery
