Steve James, 61, of Saint Ansgar, Iowa, passed away Sunday, September 15th 2019, at his home.

He was born in Cañon City, Colorado, and lived there for many years until he met the love of his life, Deb, and started a family. Steve had three children and then eventually made their way to Saint Ansgar.

He worked the last 30 years as a supervisor at Quality Pork Processing in Austin, MN. Steve spent his free time playing golf, watching any and all sports on TV (particularly Football), recently attending the Saints football games to cheer on his eldest grandchildren, enjoying many outings with co-workers and friends, and most of all, spending time with (and spoiling) all of his grandchildren.

Survived by his wife, Deb, and children: Jeremy (Andrea) James, Jennifer (Mike) Moorehead, Justin (Caitlin) James, his grandchildren: Gage, Ashton, Jayce, Keegan, Neveah, Jase, Jax, and Charlye, his dad Oscar (Doreen) James, his brother, Russ (Tammy) James, his sister Pam Antunez, his brother Ronnie (Tammy) Geisler, and many aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Cleo (Ray) Geisler, his mom, Jeanne Stanly, his sister, Sue and her husband Dennis Robbins, and his brother, Bob Geisler.
