[NOTE:STENGRIM Hansen was born December 3rd 1839 in Gol, Buskerud county, Norway. Parents: Hans Olsen and Ingeborg Colbjørnsdatter Rust (Rust is the name of the farm)

Gol is in the Hallingdal valley.

The people of St. Ansgar had their attention taken away from their every day duties last Monday morning by the tolling of the N.L. church bell. Word quickly passed from mouth to mouth that Stengrin Hanson had died the night before, from appoplexy. Mr. Hanson had a slight stroke a couple of weeks ago, but seemed to have pretty well recovered from the effects of that one. At about five o'clock Sunday night he had another stroke and immediately lapsed into unconsciousness, in which state he remained until about ten o'clock, when he passed away.

The funeral will be held Thursday at the house at 10:30 and at the N.L. church at 11:00.
