Sylvia Gae Krahenbuhl, age 72, of Osage, died Sunday, January 27, 2019, at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Sylvia was born March 24, 1946, in Osage, Iowa, the daughter of George and Carol (Barrett) Herrick. She attended Osage Schools graduating in 1965. Sylvia then attended La James Beauty School and graduated in 1967.

She was united in marriage to Fred Krahenbuhl on June 24, 1967, in Osage. They later divorced. Sylvia worked as beautician, helped at the chicken houses for many years and Fox River Mills. She was member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking, couponing, camping and rummage sales. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Shawn (Dean) Sorenson of Waverly, and Chad (Brenda) Krahenbuhl of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; by eight grandchildren: Brandy Sorenson, Samantha Krahenbuhl, Shawnda Sorenson, Jesse Sorenson, Jeremy Sorenson, Michael Krahenbuhl, Paige Krahenbuhl and Brooke Krahenbuhl; by five great-grandchildren and one on the way; by a brother, Jerry (Sandy) Herrick of Osage; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by an infant sister, Sharon.
