This community was shocked by the sad news of the death of Mrs. Henry Crooks at the home of her aunt in Riceville at which place she had been visiting but a few days, having left here Wednesday morning with her sister Mrs. Rowley and driving to Riceville for a visit.

She seemed apparently in good health but was taken suddenly ill and death summons came Saturday morning. The funeral was held in Riceville and she was laid to rest beside two sisters in Hillside Cemetery.

The Rathbone Lodge of which she was a member attended in a body from here. She leaves a mother, father, husband and two sisters beside many friends to mourn her departure.
