Funeral services for Magnus Hanson, 93, who died Thursday, August 17, at Raymonds Nursing Home in Austin, Minnesota, were held Saturday August 19,
at Mona Lutheran Church with the Rev. Einar Unseth officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Magnus Hanson, son of Martin and Karen (Larson) Hanson was born in Otranto township, Mitchell county, Iowa, June 11, 1879. He was baptized and confirmed at Mona Lutheran church where he has
been a lifelong member.

He was united in marriage to Betsy Nesse, May 14, 1902 and three daughters were born to this union. He lived in the Mona community his entire life
except for 13 years spent on a farm near DeGraff, Minnesota.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Clarice) Eggen and Mrs. Leland (Hattie) Haugen, both of Lyle; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betsy; one daughter, Margie; three brothers, Eddie, Carl, and John; two sisters, Mrs. Chris (Carrie) Olson and Bertha Hanson.
