Kenneth was born on December 25, 1951, at St. Ansgar, Mitchell county, Iowa, to Rosemary Orth Ellingson and Merle O. Ellingson.

He passed away on February 15, 2016, while living at Northwood, Worth county, Iowa.

The body was cremated.

Siblings include: Colette Ellingson, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, Ann (Dave) Tyler, of Mason City, Iowa, and Barbara Garcia, of Osage, Iowa, and Byron "Mike" Ellingson, of Clarence, Iowa.
