Bonnie R. Fischer, age 84, of Osage, Iowa, and formerly of Mitchell, Iowa, died Monday, January 1, 2018, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday January 8, 2018, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Pastor David A. Werges officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Bonnie was born December 14, 1933 in Cresco, the daughter of Albert and Lyle (Tooker) Pederson. She married Clarence “Bud” Fischer on July 3, 1951, to this union four children were born. They later divorced. Bonnie worked at Winnebago Industries in Forest City where she retired.

She was a lifetime member of Osage American Legion Auxiliary. Bonnie enjoyed fishing, gardening, always looking for treasures at rummage sales, traveling with longtime companion Kenny Anderson and going to the Casino with her Osage Rehab friends.

Bonnie is survived by her three sons, Dennis Fischer of Mitchell, John (JoAnn) Fischer of Mitchell, Lynn (Kathy) Fischer of Mitchell; grandchildren, Jamie (Bill) Hennessey and their children, Parker, Keagan and Ava of Orchard, Jesse (special friend Beth Harris) Fischer and his children, Leah and Jesse Jr. of Mitchell, DJ (Melissa) Fischer and son Damon of Mason City, Brian DeMaris of Mason City, Brad (Tiffany) DeMaris and their son, Kinnick of Osage, and David DeMaris of Rockwell; brother, Dean (Cheryl) Pederson of Rochester, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Carol Lee Fischer in 1969; her sister, Alberta Gasser; her beloved companion, Kenneth E. Anderson in 2012.
