OSAGE, IOWA - Julie Brandau, age 58, of Osage, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 9, 2017, at Eden Presbyterian Church, 3105 Glass Avenue, rural Rudd, with Pastor Cathy Belles officiating. Inurnment will be in Eden Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church.

Died October 4, 2017

Julie Brandau, age 58, of Osage, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City.

Julie was born April 29, 1959, in Algona, Iowa, the daughter of Dennis and Elizabeth (LaBarre) Gahan. She attended and graduated from Clarion High School in 1977. Julie also attended U.N.I and Iowa State.

On January 29, 2000, she married Russell Brandau at Eden Presbyterian Church. Julie was member of Eden Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading books, sci-fi movies, building doll houses, her pets and the outdoors. Julie loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.

Julie is survived by her husband, Russell Brandau of Osage; son, Dillon (Julie Ann) Drury of Ballwin, Missouri; step- daughter, Ellen (William) Witt of Osage; grandchildren, Charlotte Drury, Jonah, Caleb, Grace and Chance Witt; siblings, Bob (Deb) Gahan, Deb (Dan) Prehm, Jodie (Dale) McDonough and Pat Borel; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Bill.
