Doris A. Olson, 86, of Osage, died Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Faith Home in Osage, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage with the Rev. Bruce Kaltwasser officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Doris was born March 13, 1931, in Spencer, the daughter of Glen and Rosella (Warren) Dowd. She received her GED and graduated from Famous Art School.

Doris married Robert J. Olson on August 17, 1950 in Lyle, Minnesota. They were married for 57 years. She worked for Mitchell County Hospital for 27 years as a CNA and Dietary Aide. Doris was member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved gardening, bowling, canning, playing bingo, camping, fishing trips up north with the family, crocheting and going to the casino. Her family and grandchildren were very important to her and she loved spending time with them.

Doris is survived by her children, Robert (Kathy) Olson of Leesburg, Florida, Betty (Stephen) Huffman of Stacyville and Joann (Alan) Wagner of Orchard; grandchildren, Angie(Chad) Chadwick, Shawn (Kari) Olson, Randi (Tim) Callahan, Robby (Melissa)Huffman, Ryan Huffman, Nick (Elyse) Wagner, Melissa ( Phillip) Smith and Misty Pollard; great- grandchildren; Tyler and Morgan Chadwick, Andy and Brooke Olson, Jamison, Addison, Rae Lynn and Harper Callahan, Nolan, Luke and Max Huffman, Bentley and Liam Huffman, Makayla, Karlie and Koby Wagner and Elliyana Smith; sister, JoAnn Paulus of Ionia; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert J. Olson in 2007; and granddaughter, Rae Ann Huffman.
