Two Old Pioneers Gone.

Two of the pioneers of Jamestown township and Riceville have the past week rounded out the affairs of useful and busy lives and gone to their eternal reward.

The first to go was Patrick Mulick who died last Sunday after a long sickness. The funeral was held in the Catholic church yesterday.

The other, whose life was perhaps more closely interwoven in the destinies of Riceville, was James Hendricks, for many years a familiar figure on our streets. He too passed away after a lingering confinement. About a year ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis from which he did not recover. He passed away at his home Monday evening surrounded by his family. The funeral service was held at the home today at 2:30.—Riceville Recorder.

Transcriber’s Note: Gravestone photo indicates Mr. Hendricks was buried in Riverside Cemetery and was born in 1840.

Gravestone photo indicates Mr. Mulick was buried in Calvary (Jenkins Township) Cemetery. He was born January 1, 1834 and died November 8, 1914.
