Ruth Rose (Kruger) Erdmann, age 90, of Osage, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.

Cremation has taken place.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2017, at the United Church of Christ in Osage with Pastor Charles Owens officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Faith Lutheran Home or the United Church of Christ.

Ruth was born February 17, 1927, on the family farm near Grafton, the daughter of Alvin and Esther (Walk) Kruger, and the sixth of thirteen children. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Manly. Ruth was a 1945 graduate of Plymouth High School.

On June 15, 1952, she was united in marriage to Philip Wesley Erdmann at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Manly. Ruth co-owned and operated WE Upholstery with her sister Clarice Wilde for more than 35 years. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed crafting and collecting antique furniture and collectibles. She also loved sharing time with friends and family. Ruth was an active member of the United Church of Christ, having served for many years as the Sunday school superintendent.

Those blessed and grateful for sharing in her life include her husband of 64 years, Phil Erdmann of Osage; she is also survived by her children, Loran (Paula) Erdmann of Macomb, Illinois, Janet (Roger) Ryerson of Danville, California, Arlen (Debbie) Erdmann of Sunrise, Florida; her granddaughter, Hillary (Cory) Fosdyck of Destin, Florida and their children Nash, Monroe and Crosley; sister, Deanna (Gary) Sande of St. Paul, Minnesota; brother, Allen Kruger and his special friend Sandy of Fayetteville, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Kruger, Juanita Kruger and Jacqueline Erdmann, all of Northwood, Maxine Kruger of Grafton and Jacqueline Kruger of Geneseo, New York; brothers-in-law, Roger (June) Erdmann of Northwood and Robert Wilde of Osage; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Ross Lee Erdmann; her siblings, Myrtle Davis, Gladys Grant, Dora Runyon, Clarice Wilde and Walter, Harold, Edward, Harvey and Robert Kruger, and a brother in infancy, Richard Kruger; brothers-in-law, Jim Davis, J. David Runyon, George Grant and Howard Erdmann.

Her family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Evergreen Senior Living, Faith Lutheran Home, and the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage for all their loving attention.
