LITCHFIELD PARK, ARIZONA - Richard Paul Fossey, 68, of Litchfield Park, Arizona, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, after a brief battle with cancer.

Born January 5, 1949, to Oliver and Shirley Fossey, he lived most of his life in St. Ansgar, Iowa, graduating from St. Ansgar Senior High School in 1967. He was Senior Athlete of the Year, playing football, basketball, baseball, and running track. In his adult years Rich was an exceptional golfer. He also enjoyed about anything on the sports channels.

He served in the United States Army from 1969-1971. He worked in the food industry most of his career, building his own company, Old Ranch Services.

He is survived by his wife Beth, daughters, Dr. Robyn Fossey (Dr. Juan Carlos Zebellos) and grandson, Bennet of Rochester, Minnesota, Hollie Fossey and grandson Reilly of Arvada, Colorado, and Jessica (Dean) Lewis and grandson, Carter of Litchfield Park, Arizona, stepson Brian Beauchemin (Heather) and granddaughter Cayanne, of Hideaway, Texas, and stepdaughter Kristin (Chris) and grandsons Chase and Sawyer of Lynwood, Washington. He is also survived by his seven siblings: Sharon (Bob) Justice, Ken (Cindy) Fossey, Keith (Avis) Fossey, Karen (Clint) Hakes, Denny Fossey (Sue Novak), Kathy (Mike) Gainey, and Mike (Tracey) Fossey, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Serenity House of Phoenix, Arizona.
