FUNERAL NOTICE--

RICEVILLE, IOWA - Margaret Irene Lubbert, 92, of Riceville, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the Riceville Family Care & Therapy Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 13, at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Riceville.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before services.

Obituary for Margaret Irene Lubbert

Margaret Irene Lubbert, age 92, of Riceville, IA passed away at the Riceville Family Care & Therapy Center on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

Margaret Irene was born in Charles City, Iowa, to Robert and Gladys (Waters) Hume on December 24, 1924. She attended local schools.

On January 21, 1941, Margaret was united in marriage to Roy Henry Lubbert at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Roy and Margaret farmed, with Margaret lovingly taking care of their livestock. Margaret was a nature lover and especially enjoyed cardinals and blue jays.

Survivors include her children, Barb Foster and Dennis Mauer of Riceville, Dennis (Susan) Lubbert of Riceville, Betty (Hal) Mallory of Forest City, IA and Terry (Joe) Lubbert of Riceville, 17 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great- great- grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers Albert Hume of Fayetteville, AR and Lawrence Hume of St. Louis, MO, and a sister Laura (Dottie) Fal of Raymore, MO.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1979, two sons, Jerry and Gary, brothers, an infant Charles, John, James, William and Robert Hume and sisters, Bernice Miller, Doris Fee and Marie Herman.
