ST. ANSGAR, IOWA -- Iver D. Branstad, 76, rural St. Ansgar, passed away December 25, 2016, at Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City.

A private interment will be held at a later date.

He is survived by: DC Pope (special companion); his children: Edward C. Branstad (Sandy), IA, Darwin D. Branstad (Deneen), IA, Vernold D. Branstad (Jeanie), TX, Lenora L. Branstad, TX, Jodie L. Branstad (Cole), NM, Jeff B. Branstad, IA, Jonathon L. Branstad (Brandy), IA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; Virginia Branstad Servantez (sister); Roger Dean (brother-in-law).

He was preceded in death by: Edith C. Linder Branstad (wife), Bernice and Iver Branstad (parents), Charlotte Branstad Bushbaum (sister), August B. Branstad (brother), Harold D. Branstad (brother).

Those of us that had the blessed gift of having Iver in our life know that he passed on stories, pearls of wisdom, love of nature, strong work ethic, and of course the pointing finger.

The world is less for not having Iver Dean in it.
