OSAGE — Alice Johnson, 96, of Osage and formerly of rural Rudd, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, 3269 Foothill Ave., Osage, with the Rev. Roy Ott officiating.

Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Alice Johnson
Died December 9, 2016

Alice Johnson, age 96, of Osage and formerly of rural Rudd, died Friday, December 9, 2016, at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, 3269 Foothill Avenue, Osage, with Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Alice was born June 15, 1920, in Osage, the daughter of John and Lila (Eastman) Herron. She attended school in Osage. Alice was united in marriage to Louis T. Johnson on February 22, 1939, at her parents’ home. They farmed the family farm, retiring in 1982. Alice was a lifelong member of Rock Creek Lutheran Church and she enjoyed participating in her Church Circle. Her hobbies were reading and crocheting.

Alice is survived by her sons, Louis (Betty) Johnson of Houston, Texas, Kenneth (Erma) Johnson of Spokane, Washington, and Keith (Suzanne) Johnson of Mason City; and grandchildren, Jackie (Rick) Powel, Kirk Johnson, Tammy Paxton, Lance (JoAnn) Johnson, Ron Johnson, and Travis Johnson; and several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis in 2006; her brother John and his wife, Genny; and her sister, Jean Fox and husband, Earl.
