STACYVILLE, IOWA — Lloyd Charles Theobald, 84, of Stacyville, died November 2, 2016.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, with Father Raymond Burkle officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 4, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Both will be at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville.

#2:Lloyd was born October 17, 1932 to Wilfred and Agnes (Brumm) Theobald. Lloyd grew up in Meyer, Iowa. Lloyd married Delores Stephoni August 13, 1956 at Sacred Heart Church in Adams, Minnesota. They made their home in Stacyville, Iowa, where they raised six children.
He enlisted in the Army in 1952 and served in Germany during the Korean War from 1952-1954. Lloyd was a 60 year member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW. He took great pride in serving his country.
In their younger days, Lloyd and his wife Delores, enjoyed dancing at the Terp Ballroom in Austin, Minnesota. He and Delores enjoyed traveling together throughout the years and with their friends from the NIVA Car Club. Lloyd was especially proud of his 1938 Chrysler Imperial. Lloyd loved his family and especially enjoyed playing cards and making 9 bids in 500.
Lloyd worked for Theobald Implement for 35 years and had also sold Trojan/Dekalb seed corn. After Theobald Implement, Lloyd worked for Stacyville LP Gas until retirement in 2007.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter April Theobald.
He is survived by Delores, wife of 60 years; children: Lori (Steve) Koenigs, Kevin (Lynn) Theobald, Pam (Brad) Squier, Brian (Daneen) Theobald, Bill (Sue) Theobald, Krista (Zach) Nelson; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings: Myrna (Chuck) Blake, Maynard (Aggie) Theobald, Del (Bev) Theobald; and many nieces and nephews.
