Eldon L. Fjetland, age 95, of Riceville, Iowa, died Tuesday August 16, 2016, at the Riceville Care Center in Riceville, Iowa, where he had resided for three years.

Eldon Fjetland was born October 23, 1920 in Rowen, Iowa, to Dan and Sadie (VanBuskirk) Fjetland. He farmed along with his father for many years and was employed by Farmers Feed and Grain in Riceville in later years. Eldon was interested in anything involving farming and tractors especially his International F-20. He also enjoyed riding his golf cart around Riceville checking out the sites.

He is survived by four siblings: Donna Johnson of Meservey, Iowa, Larry (Ruby) Fjetland of Fountain, Minnesota, Judy Peil of Alexander, Iowa, and Betty Dungey of Osage, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Lorin, Donald, Danny and Darold; and by two sisters, Lila and Vivian.
