Ellen (Nellie) Margaret Williams was born in September 1851 at Cortland, New York to E. C. Williams and Margaret Wyles.

She married Henry James Auringer in 1869 at New York. (Henry born January 1848 Onondaga, New York, died July 1, 1915 Riceville, Mitchell, Iowa).

The couple had six children:
James Clark (b April 9, 1870 Cortland, New York, d November 25, 1954 Riceville, Mitchell, Iowa);

William E (b November 8, 1874 Jamestown, Howard, Iowa, d 1957 Colorado);

Arthur Floyd (b September 26, 1879 Jamestown, Howard, Iowa, d March 5, 1948 Los Angeles, California);

Myrtle Delphine (b July 3, 1883 Jamestown, Howard, Iowa, d July 15, 1966 Waterloo, Black Hawk, Iowa);

Lee E (b March 24, 1888 Jamestown, Howard, Iowa, d February 6, 1964 Riverside, California) and

Bessie Lane (b February 1892 Jamestown, Howard, Iowa, d November 5, 1918 Riceville, Mitchell, Iowa).

1895: Nellie Auringer age 43.

1900: Henry J Oranger 52, Nellie M Oranger 48, Myrtle D Oranger 15, Lee E Oranger 12, Bessie L Oranger 8, Francis Oranger 58.

Nellie Auringer moved to Waterloo to live with her daughter. She died October 8, 1934 at Waterloo, Black Hawk, Iowa. She is buried at the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville, Mitchell, Iowa.
