Clifford Edmond Wamstad was born January 7, 1910 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Lars Torstensen Wamstad and Caroline Enger Iverson, the second of their four children.
He was baptized on March 6, 1910 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. His baptismal sponsors were: Mr & Mrs Brede Wamstad; Klara Wamstad and Carl Wamstad.
He was confirmed at Rock Creek Lutheran on May 25, 1924.Found in the 1910 - 1930 censuses living on a farm at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1910: Lars Thorsten Wamstad 32, Caroline Iverson Wamstad 27, Ethel Theresse Wamstad 2, Clifford Edmond Wamstad 4 months.1915: Clifford E Wamstad age 5.
1920: Lars T Wamstad 42, Caroline Wamstad 36, Ethel T Wamstad 11, Clifford E Wamstad 10, Georgia R Wamstad 7, Tenner F Wamstad 3 yrs 11 mos.
1925: Lars T Wamstead 46, Caroline Wamstead 42, Ethel T Wamstead 16, Clifford E Wamstead 15, Georgie R Wamstead 12, Tennis T Wamstead 8.
1930: Clifford E Wamstad age 20 working & living with a farm family.
Clifford married Helen Lydia Cooper on November 13, 1937 at Spokane, Washington.
The couple had 5 children: David Laurence; Dale Francis; Duane Richard; Mary Elizabeth and Linda Margaret.Found in the 1940 census living at Spokane, Spokane, Washington: Clifford E Wamstad 35, Helen L Wamstad 24, David L Wamstad 1 yr. Clifford is working as a butcher.
In later years, he moved to Arabi, Louisiana. He died on November 6, 1965 at New Orleans, Louisiana. He was buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane, Washington beside Helen.
