Died February 21, 2016

Bryan Rogers, age 55, of Osage, died Sunday, February 21, 2016, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage with Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Bryan was born August 8, 1960, in Osage, Iowa, one of three children born to John and Merlene (Peterson) Rogers. He attended Osage Community Schools, later earning his GED and graduating from Austin Vocational and Technical School for Radio and TV Broadcast Engineering. Bryan was a disc jockey for KOSG Radio when the station was first built in Osage, and for 28 years worked for Mitchell County Sheriff’s office as a dispatcher. On October 28, 1985, Bryan married Renata Harms in the same house in Osage where his parents were married.

Bryan leaves behind his wife, Renata, and son, Justin, of Osage; his mother, Merlene Rogers of Topeka, Kansas; his sister, Laurel (Wayne) Richter of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and their children, Matthew, Megan and Michael, and their granddaughter, Grace; his niece, Kassandra Rogers and children, Jayden, Steven, Evan, Sheyenne and Scarlette, his niece, Michelle Rogers and daughter, Daylene, and his niece, Jonnie Vaughn, all from Idaho; mother-in-law, Karen Harms of Scott City, Kansas; brothers-in-law, Chris (Peggy) Harms and family of Deerfield, Kansas, Wayne (Lori) Harms and family of Blue Rapids, Kansas, and Roy (Kathy) Harms and family of Scott City, Kansas; and sister-in-law, Renee (Kevin) Nerad and family of Osage.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Hans and Mabel Peterson, and John and Margaret Rogers; his father, John Rogers; brother, Marc Rogers; father-in-law, Carleton Harms; and nephew, Lane Harms.
