RICEVILLE, IOWA - Esther Bernice Moore, 84, of Riceville, Iowa, died Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 21, at the Christian Missionary Church in Osage, Iowa with the Rev. Gary Gilbert officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Riceville.
Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, and one hour before services at the church on Monday.

#2:Obituary for Esther Bernice Moore
Esther Bernice Moore, age 84, of Riceville, Iowa died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, Iowa.
Esther was born on August 27, 1931, in Jefferson Township in Minnesota, to Carl and Mary (Twite) Gran. She enjoyed roller skating which is where she met her future husband, Lester Moore. They were married December 30, 1950, in Mason City, Iowa. To this union seven children were born: Gary, Jerry, Mary, Sherry, Terry, Larry, and Kerri.
After their marriage they lived and farmed in the New Haven and Riceville area until 1981 when they moved to Riceville. Lester and Esther owned and operated the Riceville Locker for over 20 years. When her children were young she was a Sunday School teacher for many years and was actively involved in other areas of the church. After her children left home she got involved with the Library Board and Food Bank.
She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She was a member of the David Church and David Ladies Aide. For over 30 years she planned and supervised the crafts for Bible School. Les and her spent many enjoyable hours playing "hands and foot" with family and friends. Above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children three sons: Gary (Sarah) Moore of Riceville, Jerry (Linda) Moore of New Haven, and Larry (Deb) Moore of Riceville; three daughters: Mary (Mike) Solberg of Mason City, Terry (Keith) Johanns of New Haven, and Kerri Moore of Osage; one son-in-law, Bill Vance of Charles City; 18 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren, with two on the way. She is also survived by one sister; Evelyn (Eldon) Morey of Spring Grove, Minnesota, and one brother Delone Gran of Kasson, Minnesota. Two sisters-in-law Doris (Don) Adams of Riceville and Shirley Moore of Guttenberg, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Mary, her husband Lester, their daughter Sherry Vance, one brother Carl Gran and one great granddaughter, Isabelle Moore.
