She met Clarence Van Grevenhof who also worked at the Hormel and they were married in September 12, 1953. With her love of singing she joined Sweet Adeline's.

She enjoyed refinishing antique furniture, sewing and singing. Clarence and Marilyn loved to travel in their Airstream after they retired. They lived in Oregon, Utah, and Arizona. When deciding to put down roots again, they moved back to Rochester, Minnesota. She became an active member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and the Rachel circle. Marilyn was a member of the Rochester Senior Center and she loved to sew crafts for the gift shop. She was an active member of the “Young at Hearts” singing group. She developed an interest for genealogy and began researching her family history.

Marilyn is survived by her step-sons: Vernon (Gerry) Van Grevenhof of Londonderry, New Hampshire, Del (Priscilla) Van Grevenhof of Rochester, Minnesota; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.
