Elizabeth F. Spitz, age 92, of Osage, died Friday, September 11, 2015, at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, with a rosary at 5:30 p.m.

Elizabeth was born August 26, 1923, in Stacyville, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph Juenger, Jr. and Ida (Weber) Juenger. On June 18, 1946, she married Donald A. Spitz at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville, Iowa. Elizabeth worked as a housekeeper and a CNA. She was a member of Sacred Heart Guild, Catholic Order of Foresters, Osage V.F.W. Auxiliary, and Orchard American Legion Auxiliary Post 641. Elizabeth enjoyed family, card playing, puzzles, dancing, and bingo.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Richard Spitz of Osage; her daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Mayer) Spitz of Osage; grandchildren, Marea (Steve) Tribble of Tampa, Florida, Darin Spitz of Quaker Hill, Connecticut; great-grandchildren, Taylor Tribble, Megan Tribble, Derek Spitz, and Ashleigh Spitz; brother, Virgil (Louise) Juenger of Stacyville, sisters, Mary Ann Lammers of Spring Valley, Minnesota, Barbara Collier of Woodbury, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Veronica Juenger of Stacyville, Beverly Juenger of Rochester, Minnesota, Geraldine Juenger of Austin, Minnesota, Sister Teresa Ann Spitz of Cedar Rapids, Belle Spitz of Osage, Janet Wilde of St. Ansgar,Lois Fingalsen-Juenger of Carpenter; brother-in-law, Clarence Spitz of Norfolk, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald A. Spitz in 1988; her son, David A. Spitz in 2006; one sister, Gertrude Hommez; and nine brothers, Clemens, Raymond, Jerome, Francis, Luke, Paul, Daniel, Vernon and Ronald Juenger.
