FARM ACCIDENT
FATAL TO FORMER
COUNTY RESIDENTP.J. Pederson, 83, who suffered severe injuries in an accident while plowing corn near Clear Lake, died at a mason City hospital Thursday. Mr. Pederson was born near St. Ansgar, October 20, 1859, and grew to manhood in that locality. He married Nettie Nelson, and to them were born there children: Martin Pederson of St. Ansgar; Mrs. E.N. Byam of Waterloo, and Mrs. William Walters, Seattle, Washington, formerly of Mason City.
Mrs. Pederson died in 1923 and is buried at Clear Lake. In 1925 Mr. Pederson married Mrs. Esther Elefson of Forest City, who survives him. They continued to live on the farm southeast of Clear Lake for some time, but recently have resided on an acreage at the east edge of Clear Lake.
Besides his wife and children he is survived by a brother, Joseph, of Angwin, Calif., a step-son, Ray Elefson, of Mount Pleasant, and several grandchildren. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran church and was secretary of that organization at the time of his death.
