Mary (Miller) Weber – November 23, 1880 – July 28, 1950

Mrs. Nick Weber died at Mercy Hospital at Mason City, Friday evening, July 28 after four weeks hospitalization from injuries received when she fell at her home June 28.

Mary Miller, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Miller, pioneer farmers of this community, was born November 23, 1881. She was the oldest of a family of five sons and five daughters.

On August 28, 1900 she was married to Nick Weber at Visitation Church, Stacyville. To this union were born four children, (Rose) Mrs. George Pappas, who died in 1935; Fred of Osage; (Caroline) Mrs. Benedict Adams, Stacyville, and (Alvina) Mrs. Fred Buntrock of St. Ansgar.

Surviving are her husband and three children, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Lena Krebsbach of Adams, Minn., Susie Miller of Spring Grove, Ill., and (Josephine) Mrs. Albert Johnson of Little Cedar, Iowa; three brothers, Mattie Miller of Taopi, Minn., Joe Miller, Austin, Minn., and Nick Miller of Milwaukee, besides a large number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Weber was a kindly woman, her home was one of general hospitality, her friends were legion. She lived a fine christian life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Weber had planned to celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary August 28.

She was a member of the Christian Mother's Society and a devout Catholic all her life.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 31 at Visitation church with Rev. V. J. Hintgen officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Honorary pall bearers were Mrs. George Firsching, Mrs. Joe Weber, Mrs. Mary Hartnell, Mrs. Nick Adams, Mrs. Carl Theobald and Mrs. John Brown. Six nephews were active pall bearers: Clarence Miller, Vincent Miller, Ivan Miller, Al Weber, Jerome Miller and Gregor Loecher.
