Ronald Lauritz Norby was born February 3, 1913 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa to Lauritz Halsteinsen Norby and Rachael Johanna Nubson, the youngest of their three children. His two older sisters were Thelma Marie and Katherine Harriett.

He was baptized on March 2, 1913 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Baptismal sponsors were: Mrs Marit Nubson; Mr & Mrs Carl Fjeld; Oline and Marie Nubson and Alfred Nubson.

Ronald H Norby died May 29, 1913 at Mitchell County, Iowa and is buried at Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
