Elesa Halsteinsdatter (Everson) Norby was born September 12, 1868 at Black Earth, Dane, Wisconsin to Halstein Everson and Taran Olsdatter Juvbraaten, the sixth of their twelve children.

In the summer of 1869, she moved west with her family to live at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

Found in the 1870 census living on a farm at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa: Holstien Everson 39, Tyron Everson 33, Iver Everson 11, Olous Everson 10 Mary Everson 6, Edward Everson 4, Elesa Everson 2, Erik Johnson 28, Helga Holverson 19.

Believe she died sometime after the 1870 census was taken as a young child at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

She is probably buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa but no gravestone marker has been found.
