Norma Jean O’Brion, age 70, of Osage went to heaven on Thursday December 4, 2014.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage with Rev. Bryan Lagerstam and Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota. There will be a time for lunch and fellowship following the memorial service at the church.

Norma was born June 15, 1944, in rural Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Rueben and Lillie (Bergman) Rosenquist. She graduated from Burnside High School in Burnside, Iowa. Norma was united in marriage to James O’Brion on June 12, 1965, at Burnside. They lived in various places throughout the Midwest, before retiring to Osage in 2005.

Norma especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking, arts and crafts, playing bingo, fishing and she had a general love for camping and spending time at the lake. She never met a stranger and loved to host and entertain people.

Norma is survived by her children, Jamie (Harold) Zupon of Ramsey, Minnesota, Patrick (Janet) O’Brion of Minnetonka, Minnesota, Rachel O’Brion Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Kelly (Bill) Carlson of St. Ansgar, Iowa; and loved by her seven grandchildren, Cody (Lindsay) Bebensee, Mitchell and Ally O’Brion, Joel, Addy, Griffin and Drew Carlson; special friend and companion, Frank Pankratz of Pittsville, Wisconsin; sister, Arlene Rosenquist of Dayton, Iowa; brother, Gerald Rosenquist of Dayton, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim in 2008; two brothers, Leland and Dwayne Rosenquist.
