Funeral services were held Saturday, March 26, at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage, Iowa, for Ingeber Johnson, who died Thursday, March 24, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Elmer Linkenbach of Calvary Baptist Church of Cedar Rapids officiated at the service, and burial was in the Little Cedar Cemetery.
Ingeber Johnson was born in Dennison, Minnesota, on September 5, 1894, the daughter of John and Agnes Hanson. She later moved with her family to the Carpenter area and was baptized and confirmed in the Deer Creek Lutheran Church.
On September 5, 1914, she was united in marriage to Rasmus Johnson of St. Ansgar. They farmed in the Little Cedar and Riceville areas until 1943 when they moved to Charles City.
In 1976 Mrs. Johnson moved to Cedar Rapids to live with her daughter. Since January of 1980 she has been a resident of Heritage Acres Nursing Home in Cedar Rapids.
She was a member of the David Baptist Church and the Woman's Christian Temperance Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Darlene, her parents, three sisters, and one brother.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Geneva) Marsh of Cedar Rapids; three granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Gust Nord, of Leeds, North Dakota.
