Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 22, at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage, for Mrs. Oscar (Belle) Fleenor, 92, who died Saturday, February 19, at the White HOuse Nursing Home. Rev. G. Hope of the First Baptist Church officiated at the service, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fleenor was born on July 9, 1890, in Otterbein, Indiana, to Albert and Mary Brown McKinney.
She married Oscar Fleenor on February 3, 1915 in Otterbein, Indiana. They came to Iowa and farmed in the Osage area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, six sisters, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
Belle is survived by her husband, Oscar; one son, Roy of Little Cedar; six daughters, Mrs. Earl (Mary Belle) Ahrens, Mrs. Zola Naig, Mrs. Joe (Ruth) Schultz, all of Osage, Mrs. Luvern (Ruby) Weber of Charles City, Mrs. Paul (Hazel) Benson of Orchard and Mrs. Roger (Betty) Moore of Elgin, Illinois; 29 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
