Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Anderson, 97, and formerly of Osage, Iowa, will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 1983, at Champion Funeral Home, Osage. She died on Sunday, February 6, at the Chatauqua Guest Home in Charles City, Iowa, where she had resided for many years.

Lydia Anderson was born on October 29, 1885, in Mitchell County, Iowa, to Eliza Jane Snively and Owen D. Snively. She graduated from Orchard High School.

She was united in marriage to Albert O., Anderson in 1910 in Orchard, Iowa. She spent most of her life in the Osage area and was a member of the Congregational Church, Osage, for 50 years.

Rev. Harold Putney of the United Church of Christ will officiate and burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976; one son, Cleo; her parents; four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Velma) Monroe of Charles City, two grandsons, Craig Monroe of Littleton, Colorado, and Tom Monroe of Marble Falls, Texas; and three great-grandchildren.
