Funeral services were held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Friday, January 28, 1983, for Verne Naden, 67, who passed away at his home on January 26, 1983, after a four month illness. Rev. J. Nesheim officiated and burial was in the Orchard Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Verne Naden was born in Osage, Iowa, on January 2, 1916, the son of James and Grace Hof Naden. He graduated from Osage High School in 1933.

He was married to Harriett Thorsen on February 27, 1948. He farmed west of Osage all his life until moving to Osage in October.

He is survived by his wife, Harriett; a daughter, Mrs. David (Carol) Krajcar of Riverside, California; a son, James of Osage; one grandson, Timothy Krajcar and one sister, Mrs. John (Josephine) Goodenough of Bandera, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Don.
