Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 22, 1983, at Sacred Heart Church, for George Clinton Power, who died Wednesday, January 19, 1983, at the St. Ansgar Nursing Home. Rev. J. Roth, church pastor, officiated at the service. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
George Clinton Power was born on April 3, 1913, the son of George and Carrie Vesper Power.
George Power and Helena Boehmer were married on March 4, 1934 at Lourdes.
George was employed by the City of Osage for 13 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helena; a son, Roger Lee; his parents; and by 18 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by three sons: Clifford of St. Ansgar, Raymond of Osage, and Thomas of Kensett; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Donna) Mobley, of Osage, and Mrs. Dallas (Sandra) Bushbaum of Marble Rock; 22 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Power of Charles City; two sisters, Allegra Power Smith of Osage and Frances Power Faber of Kentucky.
