Funeral services for Marvin Ellison, 58, of rural Stacyville, were held on Tuesday, January 11, 1983, at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage. Marvin died on Sunday, January 9, 1983 at his home.

Rev. John Gilbert officiated at the service, and burial was in the Sunrise Cemetery in Davis Chapel, Tennessee. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Marvin was born in Marathow, where he lived until age 2. He lived the rest of his life in the Little Cedar and Stacyville areas. He married his wife Georgia on January 22, 1967 in LaFollette, Tennessee. Marvin was a veteran of World War II. He farmed in the Little Cedar and Stacyville areas all his life.

He was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers, Howard and Gordon.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia, one brother, Forrest, Little Cedar, and his father, Charles Ellison of Sharps Chapel, Tennessee.
