Orenton Amelius Knutson Lundene was born May 25, 1876 rural Rudd, Floyd, Iowa to Knut Andersen Lundene and Gunhild Hendriksdatter Fitjker, the third of their four children.

Found in the 1880 census at Springdal, Dane, Wisconsin: Knud A. Lundene 36, Gumeld Lundene 41, Andrew Lundene 10, Henry Geo. Lundene 5, Orinton Lundene 4.

Found in the 1895 census living at rural Rudd, Floyd, Iowa: Orien Lundene age 18.

Orenton died July 18, 1897 in a drowning accident ​in the Cedar River, Mitchell County with his​ brother Hendrik.

Buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
