Ole Olsen Lindelien (Lindley) was born November 25, 1830 at Lindelien, Aadal, Buskerud, Norway to Ole Levorsen Goplerud Lindelien and Thora Olsdatter, one of their eight children.

Ole married Kari Hansdatter Enger on April 11, 1859 at Viker Kirke, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. Marriage record found at Norwegian Digital Archives on-line for Adal, Buskerud, Norway 1857-1883, pg 471, entry # 4: Ole 26 years old, Kari 25 yrs old. His father, Ole Levordsen Lindelien, her father, Hans Hansen Enger.

The couple had eight children, the first five born at Lindelien, Aadal, Buskerud, Norway and the three youngest born at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Children used the surname Lindley:
Ole Olsen (b June 12, 1859, d December 6, 1934 Iowa City, Johnson, Iowa);

Kari Olsdatter (b December 3, 1860, d after 1930 South Dakota);

Hans Olsen (b April 19, 1863, d May 16, 1922 Hubbard, Minnesota);

Gulbrand Olsen (b August 5, 1865, d 1951 Mitchell Co, Iowa);

Thorvald Olsen (b January 8, 1868, d November 2, 1943 Rock, Mitchell, Iowa);

Levi Oscar (b February 13, 1871 Iowa, d February 21, 1893 Mitchell, Iowa);

Henrick Olsen (b March 13, 1873, d May 15, 1955 Iowa) and

Olava Olsdatter (b April 11, 1875, d April 21, 1875 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

1870: Ole Oleson 40, Carrie Oleson 35, Ole Oleson 10, Carrie Oleson 8, Hans Oleson 6, Gilbert Oleson 4, Thomas Oleson 2.

1880: Ole Lindley 48, Carrie Lindley 46, Ole Lindley 20, Carrie Lindley 18, Hans Lindley 16, Gilbert Lindley 14, Tomas Lindley 12, Levi Lindley 10, Henry Lindley 6.

1885: Oley Lindly 55, Carrie Lindly 50, Oley Lindly 24, Hans Lindly 20, Carra Lindly 22, Gilbert Lindly 18, Tom Lindly 15, Levi Lindly 12, Henry Lindly 9.

1895: Ole O Lindley age 65.

1900: Ole Lindley 69, Carrie Lindley 66.

Ole O Lindelien died June 17, 1901 at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
