Theodore Severin Klemesrud was born March 8, 1902 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Harald Knudsen Klemesrud and Ingeborg Severine Maakestad, the seventh of their ten children.

Theodore was baptized on April 13, 1902 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. His baptismal sponsors were: Mr & Mrs Ole Torblaa; Martin Berg and Christine Docken. He was confirmed at RCLC on June 2, 1918.

Theo married Glee Catherine Florence on June 16, 1932 at Iowa. The couple had 3 children: 1 son and 2 daughters: Judy Lee (1939-1985) and Candace Kay (1947-1989).

He served as a postmaster in Iowa.

Theodore died May 24, 1995 at Thompson, Winnebago, Iowa and was buried at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Thompson, Winnebago, Iowa.
