RICEVILLE, IOWA - Delores “Dee” Oulman age 74, of Riceville, died at her home in Riceville, Tuesday, April 29, 2014, surrounded by her family.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014, at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville and one hour before services at the church on Saturday.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at St. Paul’s Maple Leaf Lutheran Church, near Saratoga, with the Rev. Dan Christensen officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Riceville

Delores “Dee” Yerhot Oulman age 74, of Riceville, passed away at her home in Riceville, Iowa Tuesday, April 29, 2014, surrounded by her family.
Dee was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, on April 22, 1940 to Frank and Nora (Jellum) Yerhot, she was the youngest child of nine. Dee was an avid animal lover, if there was an animal in need, Dee would nurse it back to health.
Dee was an instructor at Capri Cosmetology College for several years. She was extremely gifted at arts and crafts however her passion was for making dolls out of clay. Never with a mold or pattern, the beautiful faces on each doll came from her own imagination and creativity. Many doll magazines called and would request the rights to porcelain cast the faces. She would always decline and was very proud of her one of a kind creations.
Dee was united in marriage to Duane Oulman on June 26, 1999 in Clear Lake, Iowa. They enjoyed Camping, fishing, riding horses, and spending time with family especially her grandchildren.
Dee is survived by her husband Duane of Riceville; two children: Kelly (Michael) Brown of Riceville, Michael (Darcy) Andersen of Grinnell; three grandchildren: Tyler J. Brown, Hunter J. Brown, Piper M. Andersen; two sisters: Anna (Charles) Jones, and Florence Wyantt; her mother-in-law Audrey Oulman. Also surviving are four sister-in-laws, a brother-in-law, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceeding her in death are her parents: Frank and Nora; a brother, Glen Yerhot; five sisters: Mary (Ernie) Fette, Marcelle (Jim) Penia, Evelyn Yerhot, Geraldine (Everett) Combs and Barbara (Clarence) Reese; a brother-in-law, Charles Jones; her late husband James O. Andersen; a sister-in-law Lavon; a step daughter Jody and father-in-law Ronald Oulman.
Dee was always up for doing something fun and or different, and usually brought the laughter with her. She will be truly missed by many people.
