Stella Clara (Claire) Johnsrud was born September 5, 1896 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Olaus Johnson Johnsrud and Nora Victoria Petersdatter Borsheim, the second of their four children.

Stella was baptized on October 4, 1896 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

Stella married Harold Morf Ramsey before 1920 at Montana. The couple had 5 children.
