Orlea (Orlie) Violeta Johnsrud was born July 11, 1894 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Olavus Johnsrud (b December 10, 1870 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, d June 4, 1953 Cascade, Montana) and Nora Victoria Petersdatter Borsheim (b December 1873 Mitchell, Iowa, d November 19, 1955 Cascade, Montana.

Orlea's younger siblings were:
Stella Clara (b September 5, 1896 Mitchell, Iowa, d May 8, 1989 Fergus, Montana);
Jennings Palmer (b September 20, 1898 Mitchell, Iowa, d August 23, 1959 Billings, Montana) and
Orin Linton (b November 2, 1901 Fertile, Polk, Minnesota, d July 23, 1958 Great Falls, Cascade, Montana).

Orlea was baptized on August 12, 1894 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Her baptismal sponsors were: Johan Johnsrud; Louis Borsheim; Emma Borsheim and Sarah Borsheim.

Found in the 1900 census living at Fertile, Polk, MN: Olavus Johnsrud 29, Nora Johnsrud 26, Orlioa Johnsrud 5, Stella Johnsrud 4, Jennings Johnsrud 2.

Found in the 1910 census at Great Falls, Cascade, Montana: Oliver Johnsrud 39, Nora V Johnsrud 36, Orlie V Johnsrud 15, Stella Johnsrud 13, Jennings Johnsrud 11, Orvin Johnsrud 9.

Orlea married Charles Leroy Grant about 1917 at Montana. The couple had 3 sons: Charles, James and Norman.

Found in the 1920 census at District # 38, Wheatland, Montana: Chas Roy Grant 23, Violet O Grant 24, Chas O Grant 1[2 9/12], James P Grant 0[0/12].

Found in the 1930 census at Geraldine, Chouteau, Montana: Roy Grant 34, Orlie Grant 35, Charles Grant 11, Palmer Grant 10, Norman Grant 6.

Found in the 1940 census at Twin Bridges, Madison, Montana: C Roy Grant 43, Orlie V Grant 45, Charles Grant 21, James P Grant 20, Norman Grant 16. Working as a restaurant manager.

Orlea Violeta Grant died January 23, 1986 at Los Angeles, California. Could not find where she was buried.
