Marvin Duane Johnson was born September 19, 1925 at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Herbert Johannes Johnson and Frances Augusta Schmidt, the oldest of their four sons.

Marvin was baptized and confirmed at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Iowa. He never married, nor had children. He was a farmer.

Found in the 1930 - 1940 censuses living on the family farm at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:

1930: Herbert J Johnson 31, Frances A Johnson 30, Marvin D Johnson 4 yrs 6 mos, Norbert C Johnson 1 yr 5 mos, John A Rohne 32.

1940: Herbert Johnson 41, Frances Johnson 40, Marvin Johnson 14, Norbert Johnson 11, Merrill Johnson 8, Dean Johnson 4.

Marvin D. Johnson died December 22, 1993 at home at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa and is buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Iowa.
