Connie was born November 24, 1926, in Orchard, Iowa, the daughter of Milo and Dorothy (Kruger) Fink. She was a proud player on the Orchard High School basketball team, and graduated Salutatorian from Orchard High School. On March 18, 1945, she was united in marriage to Dean Mauser at the Methodist Parsonage in Osage. They made their home on the farm near New Haven, Iowa. In 1974, they moved to the River Road near Osage.

They enjoyed their winters in Port Aransas, Texas. Their family grew to six children, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In 1981, Connie was a key player in the founding of Mauser Insurance. Connie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Osage. Connie was a warm and loving mother to her children and a sweet grandmother. In the last few years of her life, she was devoted to her great grandchildren and enjoyed helping care for them in Colorado. Also in Colorado, she was a dear friend to a family of refugees from Ethiopia; they genuinely loved her. She was always a friend to the needy. Connie’s family wants to thank Iowa Hospice; the staff of the Faith Home for their untiring care of our mother and all the residents there; and Dr. Kelly Ross, who was her physician and a dear friend.

Connie is survived by her three daughters: Cyndy (Bill) Norman of Lamoni, Iowa, and their two sons, Kit (Stacy) and their two children Clover and Cedar; and Nate; Vicki (Dave) Johnston of Danville, Virginia, and their sons, Josh (Kaija) and their children Natalie and Bryce; and Sam (Chad); Christi (Peter) Arneson of Aurora, CO and their children Adam (Kristine) and their child due in July; and Erin (Ben) and their children Landon, Sierra and Hailey.
