RITES PENDING FOR MRS. ETHA BIRD

Funeral services for Mrs. S. S. Bird (Etha), 91, of Osage, Iowa, who died Sunday at Faith Home, are tentatively set for today, Wednesday, March 18, 1981,at 2 p.m., at the Champion Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery.

A complete obituary for Mrs. Bird will appear in the next edition of the paper.

Etha Mae (Goforth) Byrd born September 6, 1889, daughter of Samuel Goforth and Sarah Redman.

She married Silas "Sanford" Byrd.

There is a tombstone in Orchard Cemetery for them.

One known child: Kersey V. Byrd (1912-1976)
